Question About Upsetting Dreams

A Listener's Question About Upsetting Dreams: An Excerpt Do you answer questions about dreams? I had a scary dream and when i woke up my feelings from it never went away. If you could message back soon i would appreciate it. - Susan I sometimes do dreams in a reading. The emotions evoked by dreams can come from several types of dream experiences. Sometimes we are working through something that has upset us or through our fears in the dream. These can be upsetting and cause emotions that belong to those issues. For instance, if someone is going through a break up, or afraid of a break up, he/she might dream about a terrible crime or injury.  Then, feel quite horrible about the dream It is rarer to have an upsetting dream about a possible future. Sometime we are working through possible futures in dreams, but these do not seem (at least in my experience) to evoke such large emotions. There are other types of dream explorations, but in your case, I'm thinking it was a working through personal stuff sort of dream. I'm not reading you but my impression is that something going on now has activated some serious fears in you. Does this answer it a bit? MR Your email made sense. My dream was that my husband overdosed on antidepressants. Before we got married he had done just that and thankfully didn't receive any long term damage from it. In my dream i went through an entire day of finding out and having to tell family. At the end of the dream i was getting dressed to go see my mother in law. When i woke up i wasnt gradually waking up, my eyes popped open and i had tears all over my face and i was still crying. I was going to get out of bed and get dressed to go to my mom in laws then i felt my husband move. We had just lost a close friend to an overdose in october and it sent me into a spiral. I didnt know for 3 days, till a wednesday about my friends passing, but on Sunday before i was in this same kind of mood, something was wrong and i was just kinda mean and cranky. I guess i am just trying to figure out why my mind would make me dream of something so horrible and why i would wake up still in the dream like crying and getting up to get dressed. - Susan Again, I am not reading you but it looks like you are working through some very serious fears. In addition, something might be going on that feels too emotionally close to times when you have lost someone. If you want to act on the dream feelings, you might consider having everyone in the family get a physical medical and family counseling check up to make sure everything is fine in the physical and emotional areas. These are good steps as if there is anything a little off in those areas, it is great to catch them and get them resolved. Again, I’m not saying I think there anything wrong there, but that these are great ideas to act on when you have such a shaky experience.

Seeing a psychic, like me, is great if you want some sort of psychic information about all of this – which I always encourage. However, I’ve never had the impression that it completely replaces good medical and counseling insights.

What do you think?
