The Intuitive Life: Questions about a Simian Line on Reader's Palm
Hi Margaret.
I would like to ask a couple of questions about my palm.On my left hand, I have a very short heart line and my head line and life line start together.
On my right hand, my heart line and life line start together and my heart line runs right across to the other side of my palm. I dont have a head lineon my right hand.
Do you know what this could mean? I had rhumatic heart disease when I was 9
yrs old. Could this have something to do with it?
Please reply, as I can not find any answers on the internet.
Thanks heaps and I look forward to hearing from you ![]()

Ashleigh,
What you have on your right hand sounds like a Simian Line.
A Simian Line occurs when the Head and Heart line are joined in full or in part. Sometimes it is just a single line going straight across the palm and there are no head or heart line fragments. Sometimes it is not so distinct. A classic Simian line looks something like my picture here.
The key words for owners of a Simian line are: intensity, focus & a pouring of heart and mind into whatever is being focused upon. And, the rheumatic heart disease would not have caused the Simian I don’t think, but it could have influenced the short heart line on the left hand. I say this because Simian lines are found on very healthy people in many cultures.
When I teach Palmistry, I use a handout from Larry Rodriquez’s palmistry site that goes over the variations of the Simian Line. If you go to www.handanalysis.com/simian.html, you can read more there; I recommend it. He has visuals that can help you identify what you are looking at.
In addition, www.handresearch.com is full of detailed palmistry information and I always go there to find out what Martijn van Mensvoort has added to his information-packed site as it is always expanding.
Does this help?
Margaret
