Disagree over "True Love" and "Infatuation"

Hello Margaret, I am a faithful listener of radio from hell and love your hour on the show. My question is, do you think true love is attainable at such a young an age as the late teens or is high school purely a source of infatuation? I am the Editor-in-Chief of the high school newspaper.  I wrote an editorial on love in the last issue and received mixed opinions about love from my peers. From my observations, the two schools of thought are true love and infatuation.

Lara's Insights on Getting Past an Ex

(My friend Lara wrote a very insightful post on break ups.  It is so good, I am reprinting it here. Thanks Lara for taking your time to write this) Here are my thoughts about pining for the ex. ano0011A wise person once told me any breakup is little different from a death. People build up, as you said in a later post, habits, things both wanted and unwanted.

Palmistry Question: What Does It Mean if I Have a Gazillion Lines?

Margaret Ruth answers a Reader’s interesting question about a palm full of lines. Hi Margaret, I have a gazillion lines in my palm. Lots of boxes. Loops. You name it! A complex mix of lines, circles, squares, connections, energies running thru it. Do tell ... what does an extraordinary amount of lines mean??? The first thing I say to someone who has a hand full of lines is “Stop the Anxiety!” Worry and anxiety show up in palms as littler, finer lines than the major lines and these a worry lines can create many grid patterns and cross patterns.

Scrambled Memory Dream or Was It Granddad?

Margaret Ruth gives her impressions of the Reader’s dreams about family members who have passed. Question: I was curious if you could help explain a dream for me? Last night was the first time in a very long time I dreamt of ones who havdreame moved to the other side.

Hoping You Will Get Back Together after the Breakup?

“Just get over it!” “Get past it!” “Get on with your life!”

But for some of us, these commonly-given and common-sense responses to our breakup experience just don’t help. There are many reasons why we are not open to moving on after a heart break (usually in this case we are the Break-ee as opposed to the Break-er; otherwise we wouldn’t be so upset).

The Life Line in Palmistry

Palm Lines Margaret Ruth The key points to remember when looking at the lines on the palm are that lines shift and change and that the quality of a line is one of the most important indicators of a line’s meaning. Some authors state that they view the lines as energy power lines or as rivers as a way of understanding how clear and strong a line is. Life line People get concerned about the life line because there is a notion that a short life line means a short life. But most palmists see the life line as an indicator of vitality, zest and well-being.

Happy, Healthy and Smoke Pot?

Margaret Ruth answers a reader's question. Can one be a happy healthy person even if that person loves to smoke marijuana? Let's say this person feels very happy and healthy, is a productive member of society, doesn't hurt anyone in the process, and is uber responsible and smart about said use? I know that is (probably) a very funny question for you. But I really want to know what you think. Thanks in advance! Yikes – what an interesting question. I personally do not advise smoking marijuana. For one thing, it isn’t legal. So, there’s that good reason to avoid it.
